Emergencies and out-of-hours contact
Emergency and out-of-hours service is not provided. Depending on the degree of urgency, you should contact your general practitioner, visit your local hospital Emergency Department, or phone the 24-hour NSW Mental Health Access Line on 1800 011 511 or 000 in an emergency.
Clinics
Dr Parkin holds clinics on Tuesdays 9am-5pm, Wednesdays 11am-7pm (and once per month 9am-5pm), and Fridays 9am-5pm.
Southside Health & Wellbeing is a multidisciplinary child, adolescent, and adult mental health centre, where Dr Parkin sees children and adolescents up to the age of 15 years inclusive. He provides comprehensive assessments and ongoing management for presentations of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, OCD (obsessions and compulsions), PTSD (posttraumatic stress), ADHD (inattention, impulsivity and hyperactivity), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD; Autism and Asperger’s Disorder), and psychosis.
Information for referrers
Unfortunately, Dr Parkin has now permanently closed his books to new referrals, except returning patients (under the age of 18 years).

Travelling to the clinic
If travelling by car, please allow plenty of time for parking and ask the receptionist about this at the time of booking your appointment. A Council car park is available directly across the road at 11 The Avenue, time-limited street parking is available, and the clinic is conveniently localated opposite Westfield Hurstville.
The clinic is located 10-minutes walk from Hurstville train station and bus hub.
